Shelter Pro Portal (the portal) is an add-on product for Shelter Pro Software. The portal provides an animal services organization with their own stand-alone, customized website. The focus of the portal is to provide citizens with simple, practical self-service functions via your website. The result will be a reduction in the day to day work activities required of your staff.

Shelter Pro Portal was developed to meet several important needs, including:
- A stand-alone website solely dedicated to your organization;
- Self-publishing, customizable web pages. There is no need to depend on a third-party “webmaster” to update the site. You can update the site directly, and we’ve made it easy;
- Adoptable pets are updated real-time. There are no delays in pets showing up on the site;
- Stray/recovered are updated real-time. There are no delays in pets showing up on the site. So a pet owner can self-monitor to see if their pet is found by your organization;
- Owners can establish a secure account. This allows an owner to perform self-service updates to basic data elements such as their name, phone numbers, address, email address;
- “Add a pet”, “Update a pet” functionality. Owners can add a new pet to their account, or update an existing pet’s profile. This includes uploading a pet’s photo;
- An owner can report their pet as lost. The portal will automatically notify them of any pets received which are potential matches;
- Owners can purchase/renew a pet’s license/registration online. This includes the ability to upload required documentation as needed, such as a rabies certificate, sterilization certificate, and/or microchip certificate;
- Owners can print a license/registration certificate for their pet;
- Citizens can pay outstanding citations online;
- Citizens may donate online;
- Desktop and mobile friendly.
